The Big Easy
/New Orleans is a melting pot of culture, tradition, language, and arts of all kinds (music, visual, culinary… the list is infinite!). I spent just short of a week in this beautiful, vibrant city — during the French Quarter Festival no less — attending the Momenta: Project New Orleans workshop. Somewhere between assignments, editing, and lectures, I managed to squeeze in a few free hours to wander the city with my camera in hand. Have you ever been in the exact right place at the exact right time? That’s what happened when I stumbled upon the band Tuba Skinny beginning to set up for an impromptu performance on the corner of Toulouse and Chartres Streets. (They’re incredible by the way.) Laissez les bons temps rouler!
